First permitted for climbing in 2002, Abi Peak is classified as a moderate climb but remains relatively untouched, with fewer than six recorded ascents. The standard climbing route begins at Lukla, then progresses through Merala to Base Camp. The climb features snow slopes with inclines of 45° to 50° and a straightforward ridge leading to the summit. Despite its moderate classification, the technical nature of the ridges requires careful navigation.
