Annapurna Expedition (8091m) is one the prominent mountains of Nepal, stretching from Kali Galigandaki in the west to Marshyangdi in the east with its fellow peak ‘Lamjung himal’. Annapurna is formed with four summits creating a barrier on the northern side of the Pokhara valley; the main summit stands tall to the west of the Annapurna Sanctuary, which is a tremendously popular trekking route of Nepal.
Very little was known about Annapurna until 1949 when Dr. A. Heim from the windows of a Dakora aircraft peeked at Dhaulagiri and Annapurna. Right after a year, a team of French mountaineers accomplished climbing to its peak in 3rd of June, 1950. It was the first eight thousanders mountain to be climbed, but the number of successful climbs is very less compared to other 8,000 meter high peaks. All the routes to the mountain ensure severe difficulties and challenges with plenty of steep climbing.
The normal route to the mountain approaches from Manang with two hours of walk from the base camp to reach the bottom of the mountain. With plenty of steep climbing, zigzag crosses and possibilities of avalanches along the camps, Annapurna expedition has caused more faculties than any other mountain expeditions. That’s why it’s important for us to gain a full understanding of your body’s response to altitude and help you gain experience with Himalayan conditions. That’s why we highly recommend you to join our preparatory programs of mountaineering, which is conducted in other mountains a bit easier to attempt.

Annapurna Expedition
This was one of the most technically demanding climbs I’ve ever attempted. Annapurna is steep, with exposed sections that require precise technical climbing. The route is challenging from start to finish.
