The climb was tough—ice, snow, crevasses—but the view from the summit was worth every breath. The guides were vigilant and experienced, and the way the whole expedition was organized gave me confidence even on steep sections. The camaraderie with other climbers, the glacier crossings, and watching the sunrise over Lobuche Peak made every day unforgettable.
