A Trekker’s Himalayan Dream

The 12-day Gokyo Ri Trekking with Skyline Treks was truly unforgettable. The route was scenic from start to finish — suspension bridges, rhododendron forests, serene valleys, and then the stunning turquoise Gokyo Lakes. Climbing Gokyo Ri at sunrise was breathtaking; seeing Everest, Cho Oyu, and Makalu together in one panorama is something I’ll never forget. Our guide paced us perfectly, managed acclimatization carefully, and shared incredible cultural insights about the Sherpa villages. The logistics — teahouse bookings, permits, transport — were handled smoothly so all I had to do was enjoy the journey.
