This trek stretched over 14-15 days with gains over 5,000 m, but every step was worth it. Via Gokyo we got unique perspectives of Everest and the longest Himalayan glacier. Skyline Treks’ team was experienced—ropes, acclimatization days, altimeter checks—they left nothing to chance. Standing on Kala Patthar with the world’s highest peak in front of me is something I’ll never forget.
