Itinerary
Kathmandu (1,400 meters) to Pokhara (820 meters):
We start our trip from Kathmandu to Pokhara by either a scenic drive or a short domestic flight. When we get there, we check into the hotel and take some time to relax. In the afternoon, we can walk along Phewa Lake, check out the Lakeside area, or go to local markets. The goal of this day is to help you get used to the area and get ready for the hike while also enjoying the peaceful beauty of Pokhara.
Pokhara to Kande (1,770 meters) and commence trek to Australian Camp (2,060 meters):
After enjoying the delicious breakfast, we drove from Pokhara to Kande, where our trek will begin. We start our hike through terraced fields, small villages, and thick forests. We’ll slowly climb to Australian Camp, which is 2,060 meters high.
Along the way, you can see the beautiful Annapurna and Machapuchhre (Fishtail) mountains. Get to Australian Camp by the afternoon, check into the teahouse, and enjoy the view of the sunset over the Himalayas.
Australian Camp (2,060 meters) to Dhampus (1,650 meters):
After breakfast, start a slow walk down from Australian Camp to Dhampus Village. The hike lasts 2 to 3 hours and goes through terraced fields, forested trails, and traditional Gurung villages. Along the way, we’ll see amazing views of the mountains and be able to take great pictures as memories to hold onto.
When we get to Dhampus, drive back to Pokhara for a short time. Spend the evening by Phewa Lake or in the Lakeside area, thinking about the best parts of the trek.
Dhampus (1,650 meters) to Phedi (1,130 meters) and Drive back to Pokhara:
After breakfast, begin the descent from Dhampus to Phedi by walking through terraced fields, forests, and villages. The hike is easy and takes 2–3 hours. It’s also the last chance to see the beautiful Himalayan landscape and the mountains from a distance, so be sure to do so till you are satisfied.
It only takes a short drive back to Pokhara from Phedi. Take the rest of the day off to relax, shop, or walk along Phewa Lake to celebrate finishing your trek.
Pokhara to Kathmandu:
After breakfast, start the trip back to Kathmandu. We can either drive through beautiful scenery or take a short domestic flight. When we get there, we check into the hotel and relax for a while. You can spend the afternoon relaxing after the trek, going to local markets, or visiting cultural sites.
This is the last day of your trip to Australia Camp and Dhampus Village. You can now think about the things you saw and did on the trek.
