Itinerary
7 hrs drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara and 1 hr drive to Nayapul than start trek to Birethanti
7 hrs drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara and 1 hr drive to Nayapul than start trek to Birethanti Overnight in Lodge
Trek to Jhinu danda (1780m) 5/6 hrs
After a quick pick-me-up of coffee and breakfast at around 07 Am, you will be driven to Nayapul (42km from Pokhara) which takes almost one hour through the beautiful Lumle village. Upon arrival at Nayapul, you will start your gambit towards Birethanti, naturally thriving town. That trail that you will chase the most important lane of Birethanti, going ahead through with incredibly marvelous bamboo forests and large Kempty waterfalls glowing with the heavenly sunlight and floating gorges.
Besides, the verdant meadow is dotted with colts and studs which are generally used for taking out wooden campers and carts by people. Up to Syaunle Bazaar the trail lasts then, slowly ascend at the top of the valley, the whole way to Jhinu Danda. Overnight at teahouse Meals: Lunch, Dinner and Breakfast involved.
Trek to Dovan (2600m/8528ft) 5 hrs (B,L,D)
Today the trek starts with a descent through the stone steps towards Chhomrong village. You will pass by the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) Alongside of Chhomrong you will walk for about 400 meters, you will find some tea houses on the both side and within 25 minutes you will reach Chhomrong Khola. The last guest house before the bridge over Chhomrong Khola and after you cross the bridge marked as lower Sinuwa. From here the trail again climbs steeply on stone steps to reach Upper Sinuwa- you can see the views of Machhapuchhre and Annapurna III. The trail after upper Sinuwa is trouble free and you don’t need to climb more to Dovan.
Our trekking trail winds slowly up from Dovan to Deurali. You will cross the wooden bridge that you will get in about 10 minutes and continue ascending. This trail is a mix of both ascend and descend, you will pass by the shrine that you will get on your left till you will reach another part in the trail. The trial is contiguous to rich green and cool bamboo forests, the catchy sound of bamboo leaves whispering in the wind that gives musical to the soul, and the high rhododendrons trees clap your trip to Deurali.
You will see Himalayan hotel, here you will take your lunch and steadily climb for an hour you will reach an overhanging rock called Hinko Cave. The entry to the cave is blocked, after the trail slowly descends for 15-20 minutes till you will reach two big snow patches. The trailing from Hinko to Deurali is marked as an avalanche prone area which is slippery group of weak loam soil. Deurali stands above the ridge of Hinku and once you reach Deurali you will have room from where you can see the view of Machhapuchhre in front of your window. You will have Lunch, Dinner and Breakfast at tea house.
Dovan Trek to Annapurna Base Camp (4130m) via Machapuchre Base Camp (3700m) 5 hrs (B,L,D)
It may take 15 minutes for you of climbing through boulders to traverse the last tea house at Deurali. From here, the further trail starts to the valley with Modi Khola yelling past next to you. In the distance you will see the terrific vista of Machhapuchhre and Gangapurna. You will keep trailing for about 1 hour and reach a bride and cross Modi Khola, Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3700 meters) is just 20 minutes from here. You will soak in the celebrated views of Machhapuchhre in front and Annapurna to your left.
After MBC you will hike more 2 hours for Annapurna Base Camp, the initial half an hour hike is steep ascent, the trail ascend gradually to the Annapurna ‘Sanctuary Trek’. The final reach to ABC is walking through Moraines. If you have enough luck, you can see some Marmot on the trail to Annapurna Base Camp, for an overnight stop. The majestic charm of the silvery mountains, outlaying and standpoint observation for time without pause beneath the wonderland that will hail you, the phenomenal mountains soaring above in monster dimensions are a spectacle to witness. Overnight at tea house Meals: Lunch, Dinner and Breakfast involved.
Trek back down to Bamboo (2310m/7575ft) 5 hrs (B,L,D)
Today will be the longest day of the trek; you will be trailing back the same unchanged route that you followed to reach ABC and all the way to Bamboo, crossing MBC, Deurali, Himalaya and Dovan, you will drop the elevation by 1700 meters. By some lodges and tea houses the area (Bamboo) is confined, hidden among the wideness of airy mountains, every morning acknowledgement by fresh frosty air and the greatness of lone will premise. Overnight at tea house meals: Lunch, Dinner and Breakfast involved.
Trek to Jhinu Danda hot spring (1780m/5840ft) 5 hrs (B,L,D)
We will take the trail to Sinuwa walking through the heavy forests overloaded with rhododendron trees, glowing in red, white and pink, opposing to the primal gloomy green of bamboo forests. And start climbing up steeps, this will take about one hour, descend from Sinuwa and its exhausting descent till to Chhomrong Khola then one hour more you will follow the stony steep ascent up to Chhomrong village.
We will check out at ACAP office before we leave. From Chhomrong we will take descending trail, this will take about 2 hours to reach Jhinu. The view of the sub tropical forests from Jhinu is one of the best. Jhinu shows Modi Khola and is famous for hot springs. Enjoy a nice bath in the pond, which is naturally health-giving and have a rest to revive. Overnight at teahouse meals: Lunch, Dinner and Breakfast involved.
Jhino Danda to Nayapul (910m/2985ft) 5 ½ hrs and 1 hour drive back to Pokhara than finish the trip (B)
Today, the closing day of the trek, we will take the steeply descending trail from Jhinu Hot spring and walk over the Kimrong Khola Bridge in about 30 minutes. After crossing the bridge we will pass by new bridge village and march by the right side of Modi Khola for about 4 hours to make Birethanti, savoring the utmost easy and relaxing hike of the entire ABC journey, highly garnished with the charm of the river bird’s fly- fishing for prey and the pacific enigma of the rushing river beneath deep blue sky.
Exploring in an exciting manner we will catch Nayapul, this is where the trek end and after one hour of luxurious drive we will get back to Pokhara. And 30 minutes flight back to Kathmandu and check in Hotel and rest of the time for shopping on your own.
