Taking the Everest View Helicopter Tour with Skyline Treks was nothing short of magical. From Kathmandu, we soared over deep valleys and forested ridges — and then suddenly there was snow everywhere. Seeing Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam and their Himalayan companions from the helicopter window made the peaks feel so close, almost within arm’s reach. The landing near Kala Patthar gave me enough time to step out, breathe the Himalayan air and drink in the panorama. For a few hours you’re above all the crowds and trekking fatigue — just you and the mountains. A must-do for anyone short on time but longing for Everest.
