This trek to Makalu Base Camp is ideal for those wanting a unique experience. The trail is less developed and has a raw beauty, which made it feel like a real expedition. The views were surreal, especially as we approached the base camp. The local support team was excellent, and their knowledge of the area added so much to the journey.
