Everest High Passes Trek – famous as world’s one of the most classic trek-this ultimate trek to Everest region comprises of three exciting high passes, ‘Kongma La, Cho La and Renjo La’. These three spectacular high passes are between 5,330m and 5,545m making the trek adventurous and rewarding at the same time.

The Everest 3 pass trek kicks off from the Khumbu valley, “The home of the legendary Sherpa’s “. Further up the valley we climb Chukkung Ri for superb views of some of the highest mountain peaks in the world. Our first pass is the Kongma La, with amazing front views of Nuptse, this takes us to Lobuche; from here we hike up to Kala Pathar (5,554m). Kala Pathar is one of the main highlights of any Everest base camp trek</a>; it boasts an absolutely beautiful Himalayan panorama of Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Mighty Everest ‘the king of Mountains’. In order to sway you with the natural beauty at its best, the trek crosses the Cho La Pass and enters the peaceful Gokyo Valley. This serene place is encircled with incredible glacial lakes, coupled with an ascent of Gokyo Ri-bestowing you with the unbeatable panoramic views. The last pass of the Everest high passes trek is the Renjo La which takes us into the Thame valley, which ends at Lukla again.

Flight notice to Lukla

Nowadays Tribhuvan International Airport is under maintenance to avoid its heavy traffic congestion. So flight to Lukla is only possible through Rammechap 130 km far apart from Kathmandu. According to government authenticity body this will remains until its maintenance accomplishment. We think it doesn’t make you so much difficult because reaching to Rammechap (Manthali Airport) is only about 3-4 hours drive.

Besides of Lukla and return flight, Directly we can manage the arrangement of helicopter flight from Kathmandu. There is no more than five people in one group. Group cost of this one way flight for Lukla should be extra 500 USD per individual. Grouping is made by our agent at airport immediately, so we request our clients to help us for group arrangement as much as possible. The conformation of preferred alternative helps us to become more reliable.

This trek to ‘Everest high passes’ isn’t for the novice as it mostly requires hiking above 3500m. Only the healthy and experienced trekkers are encouraged to opt the trekking to Everest high pass.
